Narrative designer

Position Duties

We are looking for a highly driven individual, passionate about crafting delightful experiences and excited to make a lasting impact on kids education. As a Narrative Designer, you will play a crucial role in developing and bringing to life a brand new type of content for children. You will craft the first adventures, ensuring that the experience is delightful, intuitive, highly engaging and effective in supporting children's development.

$Key responsibilities
  • Edit adventures : Work closely with writers to craft the first interactive adventures, from pitches to final scripts. Ensure high quality output meeting our standards from an engagement and entertainment standards
  • Integrate 360 content : Collaborate with multi-functional team to integrate sound design as well as educational content developed by our cognitive science team, ensuring strong coherence in the scripts
  • Lead transcription into scripting tool : Transcribe writers' scripts into our proprietary tool to bring the interactive adventured to life. Test adventures and iterate on scripts to constantly improve the experience
  • Integrate test rounds feedback : Work closely with the test team to correct reported issues and improve the experience
  • Develop tool expertise : Become an expert in our proprietary tool to coach writers and enable them to write directly into it
  • Be the voice of writers : Raise issues and suggest improvements to improve content quality as well as writers' experience

Candidate Profile

  • Experienced storyteller - you bring a first experience in narrative design, interactive storytelling, or a related field in a studio or similar environment. 1 finalized and released project is a strong plus
  • Passionate about children's education - you have a genuine interest in children's development and believe in the power of play for learning. You are deeply motivated to shape meaningful, fun, and impactful experiences that support kids' growth
  • Tech-savvy creator - you are comfortable with text-based scripting tools (notions of coding are a plus), eager to master new platforms, and able to quickly adapt your creative process to interactive formats
  • Strong writing and editing skills - you know how to craft compelling narratives, engaging dialogue, and immersive experiences that delight users. You uphold high writing standards
  • Great communicator - you have excellent oral and written communication skills and are able to work closely with a variety of stakeholders, from writers to tech teams
Innovative mindset - you thrive in an early-stage environment, are resourceful, proactive, and excited to help build a new category of children's content
  • Game design school background is a strong plus
  • Fluent in French and English
