DRAMA STUDIOS is an independent game studio based in Rennes, France. We focus on creating immersive, gameplay driven experiences through close collaboration between design, art and technology.

DRAMA STUDIOS is currently developing UNRECORD, a narrative open world tactical FPS built with Unreal Engine 5. UNRECORD aims to deliver a highly immersive experience through realism, systemic gameplay and a strong narrative approach. The project sits at an AA ambition level, combining creative freedom with solid production pipelines and technical rigor. Our goal is to craft believable worlds, meaningful player interactions and gameplay systems that feel grounded, intense and coherent.

This position bridges gameplay design, mission design and technical implementation. You integrate quests and systems while contributing to mission flow and feel. The role demands strong gameplay sensitivity, creativity and artistic culture, to ensure design intentions become engaging player experiences. Regular on site presence is expected. Partial remote work is possible.

$Responsibilities

• Integrate missions and quests using custom tools and flowgraph systems
  
• Script gameplay logic, events and interactive sequences
  
• Configure gameplay elements, triggers and objectives
  
• Collaborate with Narrative and Design teams on pacing and readability
  
• Apply gameplay design principles to player flow and challenge balance
  
• Debug and iterate on mission logic and gameplay behaviors
  
• Participate in playtests and iterate based on feedback
  

$Requirements

• Experience in gameplay design or gameplay focused roles
  
• Strong understanding of player experience and gameplay systems
  
• Solid grasp of game logic, states and event driven systems
  
• Experience with Unreal Engine and Blueprint workflows
  
• Strong artistic culture (games, film, visual arts, interactive media)
  
• Creative mindset and problem solving approach
  
• Comfortable working hands on in production
  
• Fluent or professional working proficiency in English (written and spoken)
