1. Art director JAPAN

Tokkun JAPAN

Location : Kyoto
Type of contract : Fulltime
Salary : Depend on experience
French & English (Japanese or Chinese would be a +++).

Responsabilities as manager :
  • Acting as a liaison between the development staff and clients.
  • Negotiating contracts for outsourcing & IP licensing.
  • Developing and maintaining schedules, motivation & happyness, quality and budgets.
  • Overseeing creative 2D, 3D, UI, VFX & Animations ART.
  • Ensuring timely delivery of deliverables (such as milestones)
  • Scheduling timely quality assurance & respect of briefing.
  • Pitching & promote company to clients.
  • Exhibitions, meetings, interviews, etc.
  • Translations for japan studio only (japanese/english or japanese/french).
  • Call, mailing, meeting, etc. with clients & team production.
  • Managment of projects in Japan + oversea clients (EU, USA, ASIA).
  • Classic producing softwares
  • Travels
Responsabilities as artist 2D/3D for creative part of Art director job :
  • Imagine & create original new art direction for games, movies, etc. (art 2D/3D & docs by you).

Profil du candidat

Kind, zen, positive, respectful, professional, hardworking, with a team spirit.

Not all but maximum of knowledge in that differents technics :
  • Realtime & CGI (organic & hard surface).
  • 3DSMax, Maya, Zbrush, Photoshop, Substance.
  • Unity/Unreal Engine
  • Models/textures/lights/renders your assets, scenes, etc.
  • Baking, Rigging, Skinning, low poly & UV.
  • VFX would be a +++
  • Set cameras and lighting in Unity or Unreal Engine.
  • Responsibility for all 3D elements of a project for it's duration.
  • Model, sculpt, and texture stylized and realistic 3D characters, environment pieces, and props.
  • Rigging and animating art assets.
  • Sketchs, roughs, speed painting, concept & illustration clean for marketing art.
  • UI, animations 2D, motion design, VFX or logo is a +++
  • 3D base for overpaint & photobashing experience.
  • Cartoon to photorealistic styles possible.
  • Understanding and following the visual style & art direction of a project.
  • Environment, vehicles, assets, monsters or characters.
  • Optimize art assets to meet performance goals.
  • Troubleshoot and provide creative and technical solutions regarding the art pipeline and process.
  • Adapt, modify, and/or incorporate 3rd-party assets as necessary.
  • Manage the game asset pipeline.
  • Fast learner, prepared to work on lot of differents styles & types of production & projects.
  • Self-starting attitude.
  • Broad interest in video games and the visual arts.
  • Accept always feedback and adapt to change.
  • Sense of initiative.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
