Description du poste

As Technical Director, you will take over the technical lead of a team currently developing a brand new, innovative real-time PvP mobile game with AAA graphics and state of the art game systems. You are responsible for enforcing extremely high quality & stability standards all the while meeting the project schedule, ultimately resulting in releasing and operating a game with top grossing potential.
  • Lead a client & server engineering team to develop a fluid, high-quality mobile game backed by robust, scalable infrastructure
  • Set the project's technical standards and define the high-level architecture and tools
  • Be part of the leadership team to weigh in on all aspects of the products, provide full stack technical insight and expected outcomes to help take key decisions
  • Be the go-to technical subject matter expert for the whole team
  • Improve the team's efficiency with clever tools & processes
  • Ensure the quality of all aspects of the game client in Unity on iOS and Android, including gameplay, integrating 3D assets, optimizing performance and building a delightful user experience
  • Build a secure, scalable back-end server infrastructure supporting a state of the art free-to-play mobile game with no downtime
  • Design and build a full Live ops stack including server-side content deployment on the fly, data analytics, customer service
  • Identify risks and technical dependencies early and suggest mitigation plans

Profil du candidat

  • 10+ years game development experience including 2 large scale free-to-play mobile games shipped as a technical director demonstrating robust client-server infrastructure
  • Proven track-record in team management and technical mentoring
  • Strong maths skills, degree in computer science a plus
  • Serious knowledge of Unity as well as most common development languages : C#, C++
  • Experience building and scaling server applications and databases, experience with Google Cloud Platform AppEngine and the Python language a strong plus
  • Good understanding of project management principles and methodologies, including SCRUM/Agile
