Localization Manager/Coordinator

Description du poste

  • Reports to Production Director
  • Part of Paris Studio at gumi Europe's
  • Work closely with dev teams, design department, QA and external service providers to implement and manage the localization processes of our mobile games
  • Ensure all required text is localized into all target languages within set deadlines and to a high standard
  • Oversee operational process and efficiency, including delivery quality, cost controls, & invoicing in relation with the administration team
  • Define, maintain and improve project management systems, terminology databases and spreadsheets
  • Improve or create style guides and glossaries
  • Monitor, assess & record translation quality and service from external providers and report to management if actions need to be taken
  • Assist with translations and proofreading of in-game, marketing and other texts to ensure a high level of linguistic quality
  • Manage localization bug flow ensuring timely fixes based on priorities set up with QA, game producer and the dev teams
  • Actively watch after any tool update regarding our third party localization tool management

Profil du candidat

  • Previous experience as a localization coordinator or manager within a studio environment - 3 years minimum
  • Knowledge & experience in handling translation tools, terminology databases and spreadsheets
  • Native-speaker of one of the following languages : German, French, Russian, Italian, Spanish
  • Highly Proficient in English plus at least one of the languages listed above in terms of written and verbal skills
  • Able to work independently, good communication skills and team spirit
  • Enthusiastic about working in multi-disciplinary teams and passionate about RPG games
