At Dear Villagers, we help craft ethical games that delight players everywhere, and we have a lot of fun along the way. We are seeking an experienced and passionate Senior Game Scout to help us build our future game portfolio. In this critical role, you will leverage your extensive knowledge and network to source exciting games across various genres and platforms, acting as a bridge between development teams and our publishing expertise.

What You'll Do :

• Proactively source and identify promising games and development teams through various channels.
  
• Evaluate game pitches, builds, and development team capabilities, providing insightful feedback and recommendations to internal stakeholders.
  
• Work collaboratively with the Portfolio Manager and other internal teams to ensure a smooth Greenlight process.
  
• Develop strong relationships with independent developers and studios, fostering trust and understanding of our publishing model.
  
• Stay up to date on the latest gaming trends, emerging technologies, and the global video game landscape.
  

What You Bring :

• 6-8+ years of experience in the video game industry, with a proven track record of successful game scouting and signing.
  
• A passion for video games and a keen eye for identifying promising titles and development studios.
  
• Extensive knowledge of various game genres, platforms, and development methodologies.
  
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills, with a proven ability to build trust with developers.
  
• A deep understanding of the publishing process and the value proposition offered to development teams.
  

Bonus Points :

• Experience in nurturing new development talents.
  
• Experience in negotiating preliminary terms with developers.
  
• Analytical and business acumen, with the ability to assess the commercial viability of potential new partnerships
