Pour notre studio basé à Montpellier, spécialisé sur des projets à forte valeur ajoutée technique, nous recherchons un.e Lead jeux vidéo (engine, rendu, outils) passionné.e de programmation et motivé.e par le challende de contribuer à la formation d'une équipe, la diriger sous la surpervision et avec l'aide du directeur technique du studio. Vous aurez l'occasion de coopérer avec des équipes des autres studios de Virtuos (Lyon, Paris, Dublin, Shanghai, Chengdu, Singapour...). Parmi les jeux récents auxquels nous avons collaboré figurent : The Outer World, Medal of Honor Above and Beyond, Dark Souls Remastered, Destroy all Humans ! , Marvel's Avengers ou encore Bioshock : The Collection.

Position Duties

Main responsibilities :
  • Write code that fulfills the functional and technical requirements of the projects.
  • Understand, develop and optimize the code of graphics features.
  • Deliver a clean, commented and structured code.
  • Write technical documentation for other programmers.
  • Write end user documentation for designers and artists.
  • Work on various game engines and adapt to existing code bases.
  • Identify technical obstacles and propose related solutions.
  • Share your expertise with the team.
  • Make propositions to improve the final quality of the projects.
  • Integrate assets when necessary (characters, environments, props, animations, cut-scenes, UIs, sounds, special effects, etc.).
  • Report your work-in-progress to your lead, notify problems and deliver results on time.
  • Follow your lead programmer instructions and advices.

Candidate Profile

Must Have qualifications
  • Minimum of 5 years in graphics programming in video game industry or any other domain related to real time application.
  • French and English both written and spoken.
  • Mastering in C/C++ and object oriented programming.
  • Strong knowledge of math applied to 3D.
  • Familiar with low-level graphics programming, including at least 2 different APIs.
  • Familiar with modern game engine architectures, in particular graphic pipelines.
  • Good understanding of performance in every stage of graphics rendering.
  • Ability to fearlessly jump into large, existing code bases.
  • Ability to contribute original ideas towards game production and development.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Autonomous and proactive attitude.
  • Team player attitude

Nice to have qualifications :
  • An in-depth experience with C++ programming in Unreal Engine 4.
  • Comfortable in the optimization field.
  • Credited with at least one game launch in graphics programming role.
