As Virtuos is successfully continuing to grow, we are looking for talented 2D Concept Artists that would be able to work closely with our clients from early stages of production, so if you are passionate about games and you want to be part of most ambitious AAA games done in the world this is your chance.

Responsibilities :

• Create, develop, and conceptualize art work for various characters, environments, and props while actively collaborating with other disciplines such as Design, Art, and Engineering in order to achieve high-quality, innovative concept art.
  
• Adopt a broad range of styles from realistic to highly stylized based on goals and direction for a given project in order to produce concept art with an appropriate sense of color, drama, shape language, personality, and design.
  
• Properly and accurately evaluate timelines required for completion of work.
  
• Perform research as necessary to support visual development.
  
• Create character, environment, and prop concept art in the form of thumbnails, sketches, breakdowns, reference sheets, paintings, and other digital imagery.
  
• Provide visual contextualization support for gameplay design efforts at all stages.
  
• Create orthographic and mechanical presentations of concepts which clearly define details of material and construction.
  
• Create Lighting, composition and mood, color studies.
  
• Produce inspirational, promotional, and marketing art with high level attention to detail.
  
• Communicate clearly and in a timely manner with all members of the team.
  

Requirements :

• Portfolio with high-quality examples of character and environment including but not limited to prop concepts, lighting concepts, game storyboards, and key art.
  
• Strong 2D drawing skills with a strong grasp of composition, color theory, perspective, lighting, environment and architecture.
  
• 2+ years of experience as concept artist in professional industry.
  
• Experience executing a wide range of artistic styles.
  
• Ability to develop visual representations of abstract ideas.
  
• Ability to work on hard surface, industrial, and organic subject matter.
  
• Solid awareness of facial expression, pose, posture, gesture and movement.
  
• Solid understanding of visual language - texture, color, dimension, scale, perspective, shade, composition, depth of field, proportion, spatial awareness, etc
  
• Good communication skills, ability to explain concepts and support artistic choices.
  
• Excellent time management skills, ability to consistently meet deadlines.
  
• Team player, skilled at working independently.
  

Bonus skills :

• Knowledge of game development processes.
  
• Passion for games.
  
• Working knowledge of any 3D software packages as part of a concept pipeline (Blender/Zbrush/Maya/Sketchup).
