Lead 3D Artist

Permanent contract Paris (75)

Position Duties

We are looking for a Lead 3D Artist to take ownership of the 3D art production of the company.

The responsibilities will be to :
  • Defining the game art style while respecting the initial creative direction.
  • Define what needs to be produced in collaboration with the Production and the Design teams.
  • Guide the Art Team to produce in time and in quality the defined scope.
  • Produce hands on work (build and integrate 3D art assets).
  • Work with the Tech Team to drive the development of the art pipeline of our in-house technology.
  • Work with the Production team to manage the collaboration with outsourcing partners.
  • Monitoring and approving work done by the graphics team so that the elements produced respect the vision of the game and meet quality standards.
  • Creating benchmark to define the expected level of graphical quality in the game in collaboration with the lead game designer and the lead level designer (technical limitations, scales, narrative content, compositions, gameplay).
  • Monitoring the integration of graphical data in the engine with the programmers and the Technical Director and defining new elements that are needed.
  • Define and enforce conventions for the art pipeline (tools, naming conventions, asset management).

Candidate Profile

Must-have skills / experience :
  • At least 5 years experience as a 3D Artist and ideally a first experience as a Lead
  • An excellent knowledge on how we develop a game, the constraints and the interactions between all the trades of the production
  • Strong knowledge on current 3D software (Blender, 3DSMax, ZBrush, Substance...)
  • You have good communication skills and you are known for your art appraisal.
  • You have a great team spirit and you are proactive.
  • A good art perception
  • A professional English proficiency
