Technical audio designer

Permanent contract Paris (75)

Position Duties

We are looking for a Technical Audio Designer for the development of our CRPG.

Your Responsibilities will be :
  • Collaborating with responsible peers, leads, Directors and Manager
  • Designing Audio integration pipelines and audio systems
  • Designing an adaptive music system and collaborate with the composer to integrate the music
  • Making sure technical Audio restrictions and TRCs are met (e.g. loudness standards, memory footprint, CPU usage, audio endpoint preparation,...)
  • Working hands on as well on production peaks and while in feature development
  • Make use of your outsourcing network and/or help to establish good outsourcing networks
  • Managing and feedbacking audio outsourcing in collaboration with the production team
  • Oversee and review additional internal and external audio resources

Candidate Profile

Professional Requirements
  • Extensive experience in Game Audio
    • Asset creation (SFX, VO, Music)
    • Asset implementation
    • Audio system design
    • Game engine integration
    • Scripting or Node based scripting (Blue Prints)
    • Interactive mix and mastering
  • Extensive knowledge in Audio Integration via Audio Middleware (e.g. Wwise, Fmod or a proprietary audio engine)
  • Good organizational skills and a self-driven mindset
  • Very good knowledge in Perforce and Jira or similar collaborative tools
  • Experience in documentation and knowledge sharing
  • Good understanding of how to help prioritizing, estimating and planning Audio Tasks with the responsible Producer
  • A show reel which represents your technical knowledge and your creative skills with an optional portfolio that goes deeper into specific examples

Academic requirements
  • At least BAC+3 with a specialization in the field of Audio
  • At least 5 years of experience as a Game Sound Designer, Audio Designer, Technical Audio Designer or similar

Nice to have
  • Knowledge of Unreal Engine 5 is a plus
  • Knowledge of accessibility for Game Audio is a plus
  • Experience in audio-recording / live-recording / field-recording / foley / sound synthesis is a plus
