Position Duties

Position Duties

As Community Developer, you will be responsible for building and growing a community of players around the publishing label Dear Villagers.

Your missions will include
  • Own the strategy, tactics and execution of community development around the publishing label Dear Villagers
  • Help define community growth objectives, under the leadership of the Publishing Ops Manager
  • Manage community operations (online events, community beats, contests, moderation, etc.)
  • Grow the community with spot actions and activations to inform, engage, and entertain players
  • Be the admin of key community channels for the team (ex : Discord, Reddit, digital stores community...)
  • Explore new channels to develop our community
  • Justify and track the use of budget for anything community-related
  • Create, run, and/or attend selected community events, both on and offline
  • Create, run, and/or host occasional public talks with team members / developers such as AMA or dev diaries
  • Any other occasional spot-task related to publishing like writing a piece of player-facing content, or representing the brand at a live event, etc.
  • Community KPI reporting and analysis
  • Monitor trends and opportunities
  • Some travel may be required for events such as Gamescom, TwitchCon, etc.

Candidate Profile

  • Fluent in English, with excellent spoken and written communications skills
  • Self-driven and organized
  • Energetic and positive mindset, always ready to start fun projects with the commitment to see them through
  • Experience in building online communities, ideally in the gaming culture
  • Willingness to learn how to think strategically, and to focus on outcomes (instead of outputs)
  • Solid knowledge of the indie games market a plus
  • Native German a plus
  • Fluent French a plus
