ABRAKAM ENTERTAINMENT is the AA Video Game Developer of 'Faeria' (2017) and Roguebook (2021). All our titles are developped for PC and consoles. Abrakam is partnering with fantastic people to create their games and IP, the creator of Magic the Gathering, Richard Garfield, has helped as a co-auhtor on the crafting of Roguebook.

We've most recently developed the narrative expansion "Astral Planes" for Stellaris (Paradox, 2023).

ABRAKAM is specialized in strategy and card games and has developed their own tools to facilitate the development of games in this genre. ABRAKAM is animated by a strong indie vibration, enjoying the crafting of great quality titles out of a mid size team.

Abrakam is looking for a highly talented and passionate Senior Game Designer versed into strategy games. The ideal candidate needs to have a proven experience in designing strategy games and/or card games, a strong aptitude for critical thinking and analysis, and a creative mind.

Responsibilities

• Assist on developing the vision of our games
  
• Discuss, design and specify game systems (economy, battle mechanics, game logic, etc)
  
• Help and mentor other game designers achieve good gameplay specs and game content
  
• Create content in which narration, flavor and gameplay blend perfectly together
  
• Script, playtest and balance game content
  
• Collaborate with other game designers, artists and developers to ensure a high level of quality implementation of game design specifications
  

Requirements

• Applicants MUST have at least 5 years of professional experience in a game design role, in a video game studio
  
• Able to work from our office (Liège, Belgium)
  
• Passion for strategy games
  
• Experience with scripting languages
  
• Excellent communication skills, fast learner
  
• Fluent in English
