Game Marketing Director

Position Duties

Under the supervision of the company founders, you will have the responsibility to design and specifiy the different tools features sets for the products of The Sandbox Ecosystem

We are looking for a Videogame Marketing Director, who will be responsible for setting up and executing growth marketing strategy and initiatives for our gaming virtual world and ecosystem products. You will develop the brand strategy and definition, the game marketing plans, oversee the campaigns, and take part in the execution of all activities to bring new players to our virtual world, engage them in the play-to-earn events and tournaments. As part of this you will develop targeting, positioning, messaging, and creative, manage promotions and events. You will also oversee the development and management of paid UA programs across all channels. You will take an active part in all branding, market research, PR, social channels and influencers management.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute the vision and strategy to achieve The Sandbox's business targets through customer-focused and data-driven marketing campaigns across all performance channels, including search, display, social, video, sponsored content, affiliate, and others
  • You will lead representation and branding of our gaming platform to the world - lining up our efforts both for English-speaking territories and China, Korea and Japan, synchronizing with local teams and/or marketing partners
  • Design and execute a comprehensive, game-specific marketing plan to launch our decentralized gaming virtual world platform worldwide
  • Manage PR and Communications with the media and The Sandbox's community
  • Identify value proposition, product positioning, and key messages, write creative briefs to ensure we produce best in class creative, which is consistent across all channels and resonates with consumers
  • Build and deploy grassroots marketing programs to drive creators and players to our service, using contests, influencers marketing
  • Work with Community Management and Creator Relations to create and manage global events to drive new audience and increase engagement across the platform
  • Create and direct market, competitive and user research
  • Drive and optimize our SEO strategy to reach the most relevant audience at the best time to grow our audience
  • Measure the performance of all marketing programs (including ad spend) to identify the best opportunities for optimization, and regularly iterate to maximize performance
  • Build KPIs dashboard and update them, to present relevant information in accessible manner
  • Work with finance to plan and maintain marketing & advertising budget that prioritizes low-spend/high-impact campaigns

Candidate Profile

Requirements :
  • 5 years minimum of experience in games marketing of multi-platform PC/Console/Mobile or UGC/Game Publishing platforms, with increasing levels of responsibility
  • Best-in-class brand builder and storyteller ; proven success crafting brands from the ground up and a track record of building brand engagement and generating business growth
  • Proven track record of launching successful campaigns using components of guerrilla, grassroots, and viral marketing
  • Experience building reporting dashboards and synthesizing complex data points and KPIs to generate easy to understand executive reports
  • Experience managing both internal team members and external vendors for timely, high quality marketing assets
  • Skills with creatives campaigns briefs, concepts/mockups or even videos
  • You have excellent spoken and written communication skills, allowing you to deliver complex information clearly to your colleagues and through marketing material
  • Demonstrated effective leadership - people management experience is important
  • BA/BS degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering or a related field
