Astrea is the third branch of Atlas V, the renowned french studio behind VR immersive experiences like Gloomy Eyes, Battlescar, Spheres, Notes on Blindness, On the Morning You Wake, and many more. Launched publicly in September 2021, Astrea now represents over 65 VR experiences that are selected at film festivals and showcased in museums around the world. In a new industry that is full of interesting challenges, Astrea is one of the few teams that are tackling the distribution, publishing and international marketing of immersive narrative VR content.

Position Duties

VR entertainment is a new industry that is full of interesting challenges, especially when it comes to immersive storytelling experiences. Astrea is one of the few teams that are tackling the distribution, publishing and international marketing of immersive narrative and gamified VR content. Therefore we are looking for someone who is willing to explore new avenues and adapt their expertise to this continually evolving industry and contribute to the growth for the long term.

General Responsibilities
  • You will work with the team to help publish narrative VR content on VR streaming platforms such as Steam, Oculus, Viveport, and Pico.
  • Project manage the uploading of VR experiences through organizing and overseeing a timeline and leading communication with studios / developers
  • Testing VR experiences before publishing to provide feedback to studios about optimization and testing upon publishing to ensure a quality experience - reporting any bugs or issues back to the studios.
  • Working collectively with the team to help build and manage the Astrea discord.

Marketing Responsibilities
  • Work on the go-to-market plan and execution for new game releases.
  • Conceive, plan, create, and obtain original, high-impact content for externally-facing social media channels that engage viewers. Role will collaborate with internal and external partners to devise content plans that are appealing for external audiences and specific to the VR content in the ASTREA online catalog.
  • Research, establish and manage Content Marketing partnerships with key local media and influencers.
  • Identify new market trends, business opportunities and key relationships to be developed.
  • Manage projects with international PR agencies, media buying partners and other service providers.

Preferred candidate will possess extensive experience in developing compelling digital editorial content, from short-form social posts, to feature-length preview / interview
articles, to overseeing video projects.

Store Management Responsibilities
  • Build consensus with teams (internally and externally) in establishing target dates for deliverables and identify blockers for launch.
  • Managing project store presence - uploading metadata, reworking store page texts, asset creation or modification, generating keys, store page blogs and managing community feedback.
  • Analyzing traffic, sales figures, and helping build and maintain a structure of data collection and reporting.

Candidate Profile

This role is joining a new and up and coming team that is tackling the missing link in narrative VR - how to bring these unique works to the public. We are looking for someone who is willing to take on the challenge, help build something for the long term, and is passionate about the capacity of VR as a storytelling medium.

Here are some key features we think will be an asset to our team :
  • Knowledge and experience in running marketing campaigns and user acquisition.
  • Excellent written communication skills to ensure accurate, grammatically correct public-facing blog and social media postings.
  • Extensive multi-tasking and prioritization skills--needs to move fast in a quick paced environment and possess the experience to keep calm and collected during times of high pressure
  • Experience with attention to detail when documenting workflows, schedules, and trackers.
  • Experience exhibiting a high degree of ownership and accountability.
  • Capacity to create processes independently and move projects to completion in a fast-paced startup environment.
  • Working knowledge of Photoshop and Premiere is desired.
  • Knowledge of the video game landscape is strongly preferred.
  • Flexible, adaptable, creative, curious, hardworking, and ready to be at the forefront of building the VR storytelling market.

Additional Information

Astrea is located in Paris, we have a flexible work from home policy, but are looking for someone who can be on site regularly during the week.
