At Shiro Games we have full control over our technical stack, including the open-source game engine Heaps and editor Hide, of which we are the main contributors. This allows us to ship ambitious games with small teams without overtime and without ever being blocked by third party technology.
We are looking for an experienced game programmer to join our growing team of passionate developers on an exciting project. This role offers the opportunity to lead our programming efforts on a brand new game.

$What you will do

• Create, own and maintain game features from start to finish
  
• Gain a deep understanding of the game design and mechanics by working side-by-side with game designers
  
• Regularly refactor game systems to maintain a sane and flexible codebase
  
• Use rapid prototyping to test game design ideas
  
• Mentor other developers within the team and delegate tasks
  
• Become a major contributor to the overall quality and production process of the game
  

$What you must bring

• At least 5 years of industry experience with at least one shipped game (mandatory)
  
• Excellent programming skills, with a deep knowledge of several programming languages
  
• Maturity in software architecture, algorithms, data structures
  
• Deep understanding of the various stages of game production
  
• Interest in game design and game mechanics
  
• Good communication skills, with the ability to become a central point of contact on the project
  
• Personal or professional projects realized outside of Unreal Engine or Unity a plus
