ABRAKAM ENTERTAINMENT is the AA Video Game Developer of 'Faeria' (2017) and Roguebook (2021). All our titles are developped for PC and consoles. Abrakam is partnering with fantastic people to create their games and IP, the creator of Magic the Gathering, Richard Garfield, has helped as a co-auhtor on the crafting of Roguebook.

ABRAKAM is specialized in strategy and card games and has developed their own tools to facilitate the development of games in this genre. ABRAKAM is animated by a strong indie vibration, enjoying the crafting of great quality titles out of a mid size team.

Technical Artist

Position Duties

After the successful launch our second games Faeria and Roguebook, we are looking for a Technbical Artist to help us craft our IP and games. You are an enthusiastic and efficient person and want to be the bridge between our creative artists and talented programming team ? Then maybe you are the one we are looking for ! This job is a full time position on site (Liège / Belgium).

As a Technical Artist, you will be responsible for creating, implementing, and maintaining high-quality visual effects and animation systems. You will collaborate with artists, devs, and game designers to deliver cutting-edge visual experiences for our games.

Mission :
  • Help to Develop, create, process and maintain visual assets and animation pipelines
  • Solve challenging technical issues in the 3d asset pipeline.
  • Implement and incorporate feedback from Art Director and other Leads into the project.
  • Proactively use knowledge and experience to identify and solve problems before they affect the development team.
  • Create and implement animations and particle effects
  • Optimize visual effects and animation systems for performance and scalability

Candidate Profile

Background :
  • 2+ years of applicable professional experience as a Technical Artist with knowledge of engines and art pipelines
  • Experience with particle systems, rigid body dynamics, and fluid simulations
  • Strong ability to create and implement high-quality animations and visual effects
  • Be comfortable with at least one 3D program (3DSMax, Maya, Blender).
  • Knowledge of rendering budgets and other technical issues related to performance in realtime engines.
  • Experience with Git.
  • A portfolio demonstrating your technical art skills and experience
  • Positive attitude and an ability to receive and provide objective feedback.
