3K ELO Games is an indie development studio working on its first game : a local and online fighting-platformer party game where players face off in increasingly epic arenas. By making strategic choices throughout the match, they build up their character for the ultimate fight that will crown the winner.

About the game

A local and online fighting-platformer party game where two to four players face off in increasingly epic arenas. By making strategic choices throughout the match, they build up their character for the ultimate fight that will crown the winner. The art direction mixes real-time 3D characters and environments with hand-painted 2D backgrounds and VFX, creating a fully stylized look.
We're currently in pre-production, building our vertical slice in Unreal Engine 5.4.4.

What you'll do

• Create stylized 2D VFX (for gameplay, environments, UI...).
  
• Follow provided concepts and reinterpret them effectively in-engine.
  
• Paint and animate your own 2D FX sprites in line with the project's art direction.
  
• Integrate everything in Unreal.
  
• Collaborate closely with the art team, game designer, and developer.
  

What we're looking for

• Strong knowledge of Unreal Engine 5 (ideally 5.4.4).
  
• Skilled in stylized 2D FX, with the ability to create hand-painted sprites.
  
• Previous experience creating and integrating VFX in games.
  
• Comfortable working independently while communicating with a remote team.
  

When applying, please include a portfolio that features stylized VFX you've produced in the past.
