Position Duties

Dear Villagers works with talented developers / studios from around the world to help them achieve their projects' highest goals. As a Producer, you will control, contribute, and communicate about all aspects of several games' ongoing development, productions such as the award-winning The Forgotten City or the most recently acclaimed Foretales.

You will :
  • Be an influential observer, discussing goals and progress with each studio.
  • Establish a relationship of mutual trust and understanding with your counterparts.
  • Measure development progress versus the game's development timeline.
  • Provide feedback on every aspect of the game (gameplay, story, UX, etc.). You'll be helped in this mission by an internal QA and UX team.
  • Manage external partners that will work with the studios to achieve the best quality possible (porting, localization, external support, QA, playtest).
  • Identify and find solutions for any roadblocks encountered by the developers.
  • Communicate development progress / status of each game to the Dear Villagers team

Candidate Profile

  • Fluent in English and French
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Systematically organized
  • Applied knowledge of multiple project management methodologies
  • Versality and capacity to adapt to very different game projects
  • Understanding of video game design and typical game development needs
  • Awareness of the certification processes of 1st parties (you won't be directly in charge of certifications, but will need to know how it works)
  • At least 3-5 years of experience in a similar position.
  • An experience on studio's side is a bonus.
